“Revolutionary Chess game, only your brain defines you, not your disability!”
The idea came from three High School students who wanted to ease the life of disabled people.

This game is about equality. We are giving the opportunity to people with disabilities to feel like a “normal” person.
ChesSmart is a revolutionary Chess game.
You don’t have to use a part of your body to play this game, even not your hands. The only thing you need is your voice and your brain. You don’t have to touch the board. Everything is digital, using a smart Chessboard.

We are solving the loneliness problem of people in rehabilitation hospitals, the pain of feeling “different” from the others.
Our idea came while thinking about soldiers who lost a hand in the battle, victims of an accident, or disabled person from birth.
By using the microphone, the user gives the commands he would like to execute. The data is transferred to the “brain” of our product, then using our chess algorithm, the pawns are moved by a magnet inside the board.
Actually, our product works as well as expected but our main priority is to ensure a product with zero bugs in order to give our customers the best Chess experience they will ever get.
We are also trying to design our product to be attractive and still classical. We want our Chessboard to be as simple to use than a classical game, and not scaring the people with too many technical requirements!
Our targets are hospitals, retirement houses, rehabilitation centers, and also independent customers who just want to challenge their family members or friends.
All projects (tech-prototypes) are ‘open for sell’ for a flat fee based on MAX proprietary commercial and legal generic terms.

We used an Arduino for the integration of all parts, motors 28byj-48, engine controllers unl2003, circular electromagnet 18 mm.
The voice detector’s code is written in python, and the chess algorithm is in C++.
