Maximizing Your Potential

We believe that education is the key for everyone. But it can be very challenging without the tools necessary to give and get the best education for our needs. That is when StuddyBuddy comes in to play. We as a team , wanted to make the best tool possible for teachers and the students to  share information and communicate with an easy and user friendly app.

What’s your venture about?

We believe that education is the key for everyone. But it can be very challenging without the tools necessary to give and get the best education for our needs. That is when StuddyBuddy comes in to play. We as a team wanted to make the best tool possible for teachers and the students to share information and communicate with an easy and user-friendly app.

What is the problem you are trying to solve?

My experience with the teachers in high school was not a good one, I’ve felt that I couldn’t communicate with them as I wanted and that they didn’t understand me and vice versa. Our initial idea was to try to make a team organizer app, but when Ofir told me that he didn’t like the app he used in school, everything clicked. We came up with the idea that we wanted to make an app that both teachers and students would like to use. The apps that the teachers and the students use today, they are old minded, hard to use, and not user friendly. As most of the students in today’s day and age are more tech-oriented, we wanted to make an app for both the students and the teachers where it would be easy to understand how to use and be as user friendly as possible.

How are you solving the problem?

One of our main goals is making the app as user friendly as possible. Our biggest asset is Ofir. As a student in high school, he pinpointed the problems that he is having with the apps that he uses. We are making our app with minimal functions as needed for a student. After our surveys with teachers, we concluded that our second focus is going to be minimalizing the time to learn how to use the app. We are making an app where teachers and the students both will use and share information with each other. The teacher can share the home works with the class, share a document of her choice, share the calendar with ease. The student on the other hand can organize their week better with the information in the palm of their hands. With the survey we did with the students, we know that most of the students don’t use any organizer or they use notebooks. So with the app they can see what are the projects or home works that they have and with the information that they have from their teachers, they can make their own schedule in the app simultaneously.

How does it work?

We have the sketches in google drive and when we have the app ready we will make a short video about it.

What are your challenges?

Our biggest challenge is that there is an app that most people use already. But as the comments in GoogleApp and Appstore, we know that most people are not satisfied with it. But it’s an app that works with the Minister Of Education, so as the newcomers, it is going to be challenging to dethrone them. Secondly, our biggest challenge is teaching the teachers how to use the app, it is going to be challenging to make an app where teachers can get used to easily.  Our third challenge is a difficult one. Students at that age can download the app, use it once or twice, and delete It afterward, our challenge is how to make them keep using the app as they keep learning in their academies whether its high school or middle school.

Who are you impacting?

Our main target is helping the teachers and the students. We all have this device called smartphones in our pockets, but the education system is a little bit slow to narrow the gap between how fast the technology escalates and how to use this technology for education. So we want to show both the students and the teachers, and the Minister of Education that the change is here. We want to make the education better, we want to make the technologically oriented students who use their phones most of the day to use them for their education. We want to make teachers who are having a hard time getting used to the new technological day and age use an easy app to make their work easier and more efficient.

We are still developing the app . The app should be done in about a week, week and a half.

After the app is done , we want to make a pilot  as soon as the app is ready to get feedback and make the app even better, the step after that is using the app in a proper class.
